I recently took a weekend trip to Chicago with my mom and grandma. The main reason we made the trip was to watch my cousin get married (which was wonderful), but we definitely could not miss the opportunity to eat amazing food, visit the Bean and grab some Garrett's popcorn. I wanted to share some of the prettiest, yummiest parts of my quick trip. As always, getting away really refreshed my spirit. What a blessing it is to get to visit different places in our beautiful world.
When I take the time to legitimately think of the things I want my life to be filled with, adventure is one thing that never fails to make the list.
I have technically lived in five states. I was born in Texas, lived in New Jersey for a few years of my childhood, went back to Texas for 3rd grade through high school graduation, lived in Missouri for four years of college, spent summers in Florida (where my family moved right after my high school graduation) and then landed my first job in Alabama. I was also blessed with a mother who made it a priority to take me and my brother on a slew of trips when we were growing up. From the snow-capped mountains of Colorado to the overwhelming aroma of San Francisco’s Ghirardelli Square and the warm, but humidity-less, summers of Western Michigan, I was blessed to see a number of sites and states growing up.
