I want to get better about sharing my style ideas and inspirations, especially when it comes to work outfits. As a TV news reporter, sometimes my plans for the day can be all over the place. Black suede booties are not a good choice for spending your day on a dirt road in rural Alabama, and wading through flood waters will never call for a cute shift dress. However, some days are more chill than others, most of you have jobs/situations that 10/10 call for normal clothes and (regardless) we all spend way too much time at work to not be cute and fabulous about it. Dress: Topshop // Tights: H&M // Booties: Steve Madden It took me a minute to get here, but I have thankfully found the balance I need to be "me" at work. Instead of trying to tell stories, in spite of my style and the way I do "me", I just decided to let it all work together. With that being said, it's FINALLY starting to get cold here in Alabama (rejoice). I spent Friday (my Thursday) working on a special report, writing up on the latest news from the Washington Post article on Roy Moore and anchoring our 9 pm show. I spent most of the day in-house, so this fall-looking-but-not-too-toasty outfit was perfect. I am SUCH a fan of these sheer tights from H&M. I've been buying them for years. They rip kind of easily, but they are inexpensive and the perfect amount of transparency . Here's a link to them if you're interested! Also shout out to my favorite meteorologist Vernon for letting me invade the Storm Center and weather wall for these pics (peep his face in the corner of the first video).
